Great for a trip to ParisDec 28, 2009 I read Clotilde's blog and really enjoy it. I thought this book would be more of a non fiction of her experiences in French restaurants, markets and her French kitchen. However it is a guide book to eating in Paris. It won't be too useful for me because I have no plans on visiting Paris but it's fun to reminisce on my time there in the past and dream about my next trip. It's very well written and full of great info. Definitely get this book if you're planning on spending some time in Paris.

Clotilde's Edible Adventures in ParisNov 02, 2009 This book was our favorite restaurant guide on our Paris trip last month. We used it three out of five nights. The author's recommendations and reviews were right on target. I can't add much else.

Entirely Too FunSep 30, 2009 I've enjoyed going through this book a great deal. I particularly like that she doesn't focus just on the single digit arrondissements. I'm now checking out the Paris Yellow Pages and Google Earth... which just means realistic Paris trip planning can't be far behind.

A very useful little bookMay 26, 2009 I read the blog and followed the links to Amazon to buy the book and I was so happy I did. We were going to be spending only 5 days in Paris and we didn't want to be disappointed with the food. Before we left I bookmarked a couple of cheese shops and bakeries and actively sort those out. The recommendations were excellent. We carried the book with us and whenever we felt the need for some nourishment, we would get the book out of the handbag and look up the listings for what was in our area (a very useful feature). Our favourite dining experience was at Le Petit Pascal which we would never have found without the book. Every city needs a book like this.

If you want to eat well in Paris, buy this book!May 16, 2009 I got this book last minute before leaving for Paris a little over a week ago. I returned yesterday and want to spread the word that it is invaluable. The book is organized in a really approachable and useful way, with tags about what kind of eatery (casual, neobistro, gastronomic, wine bar, etc...), descriptions that are just the right length, and details like subway stops and cross streets so you make your way there without any problem. Also, the design reinforces its usefulness by making it easy to find the information you are looking for and its size is terrific for toting around with you. Beyond the reviews, there is a really helpful introduction that lays out the basics of the culture of food in France, as well as really helpful sidebars that delve more deeply into certain aspects, e.g. cheese course etiquette, the background of the neo bistro movement, picnic spots and a glossary of the classics of French pastry. This is an amazing book that really enhanced my experience of the city. I can't thank Clotilde enough!!!
